after the pueblo revolt in 1680, king charles the fifth of spain gave the tiguas 36 square miles of land around ysleta.  in 1874, legislature decided to take most of it back.  w in six months of the ruling, the tiguas lost nealy all their land.  the next year, the county seat was moved their.  i wonder if this is still a fresh wound?
